Mia was six and loved to play basketball. Her team was playing against the Red Foxes in a big game.
The game started, and Mia and her friends ran up and down the court, passing the ball and trying to score. The Red Foxes were good, and they scored one point, then another. "We need to try hard," said Mia.
It was now the last part of the game, and the score was close. Mia's team had nine points, while the Red Foxes had ten. "We need one more point to tie," said Mia's coach. "Who wants to try?"
Mia said, "I can do it." She felt a little scared, but she knew she could try. The coach nodded and said, "Okay, Mia, go for it!"
