Today meant a lot to me since I saw he progress immediately as my student started to grasp on to double digit subtraction. I've always loved working with him since his enthusiasm brightens my day. But today was special since he really took in what I had been teaching him and he was able to get to a solution. I'm proud of him and I'm glad I was connected with him! About half the kids in this country can't read. Our tutors are changing that. You can too. When we teach kids to read, they don't just get to enjoy Harry Potter. They start to do better in math and science as well. They graduate from high school more frequently. They're able to read the application for that job they want. They gain confidence and dignity. They learn about the world about them. And they get to be a part of changing that world for the better.
