Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
Lucas is 10 years old and is in 4th grade. He loves playing with legos, swimming, and loves nature. He has been struggling with school for the last few years, because he has had two significant losses in his life.
He first lost his older brother 4 years ago, and then his dad also died 2 years ago. Leaving me a single parent, which has been quite the challenge. He has a hard time focusing and becomes easily frustrated. He goes to counseling and we are trying to pinpoint the issue.
I am in need of tutoring assistance, because being a single parent I am juggling many things, and we have no family near by. He really needs someone who is strong in Math, that can explain things to him step by step, and make math fun. I know this program with be of great benefit for him, and I will be there along the way to encourage him.
Please describe specifically what your student needs help with.
He specifically needs help with subtracting, adding, and multiplying three digit numbers from two or three digit numbers. Figuring out problem solving and he also needs to learn his multiplication tables better.
What are you most grateful for?
That me and my son have each other. And we have wonderful memories as a family.
What are your greatest hopes for your student?
That he can have confidence in doing math, and learns to love it. Also that he realizes he can be anything he wants to be m, and does not need to be limited to circumstances.

By taking care of the environment, and our planet.
