Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
Ryan is a very smart and outgoing 5 year old. He loves being around people and laughing. Ryan will take on most challenges without question. Ryan has 3 siblings: two older sisters (15, 12) and one younger brother (4). Ryan's sisters help me and try to make learning fun for him. I would just like to have some added support from someone who has experience in this area and knows how to get a child to be receptive in learning and in all the styles and ways things can be taught. I just want my sweet boy to succeed and not feel defeated.
Please describe specifically what your student needs help with.
Ryan needs help with reading. While attending Pre-k he struggled with some site words and remembering the sounds of letters. We read most days but he thinks reading is boring.
What are you most grateful for?
Life and the opportunity to be a mother. It's absolutely the greatest gift in life. I am grateful that I can give support and give unconditional love to my children. Anything after that is a bonus.
What are your greatest hopes for your student?
I would like Ryan to be fearless when it comes to reading and feel confident when asked to read and or he needs to.
According to the student, how can we make the world a better place?
For everyone to love each other and to be peaceful.
