Get to know Fizza and her family better

Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
My name is Fizza Arbab and I am 16 years old. I have to lovely parents and 2 siblings. Being the middle child and eldest daughter, I have the most responsibility in the house in addition to my tedious school work. I am a part of Model United Nations, Glamour Gals and MSA at school. I have attended 2 MUN meetings throughout my highschool career. My favorite conference was the one at which I represented Portugal & UNICEF to discuss child soldiers. Also, I am a possible candidate for being the Secretary or President of Glamour Gals next year. For Glamour Gals, I visit my local nursing home 2x a month and paint the nails of the elderly, but there is a greater meaning behind this. By doing this act of service, I am giving the beautiful ladies a chance to socialize and speak to someone. At home, I am bombarded with at least 2-3 hours of homework along with helping my mom with chores. But wait there's more! I also help my sister daily with homework, projects, etc. Overall, what I'm trying to say is that I'm a busy women and don't often get around to studying for the SAT, thus I need a scheduled tutoring time where I can set aside all my other work and get professional tutoring.
Please describe specifically what your student needs help with.
I need help with SAT prep
What are you most grateful for?
What are your greatest hopes for your student?
I want to change the steriotypes women have in the country my family is from. Typically in Pakistan, women have these goals and dreams that they chase after, but once they get around the age of 20, the second they get a marriage proposal from a decent family, they drop it all. All for a man who only wants kids and food on the table. I want to change this. I want to get married, but still persue my goals. I want to have children, but still work as a doctor. I want to change the way daughters & women are perceived in my culture. I want to have a life of my own.
According to the student, how can we make the world a better place?
Awareness would make the world a better place. If people who are blessed with more than the necessities of life were cognisant of the lives lived by those in hunger, poverty, and abuse, then people in need would be taken care of. All we need inorder to see change is to realize the pain and sufferings people endure and if we cant take action, then spread the message to those who are fortunate enough to do so.
What is the student's favorite book?
"Snow Falling" by Jane Villanueva & "Five Feet Apart" by Rachael Lippincott & "I Am Malala"
What does the student want to be when they grow up?
I want to be a pediatric oncologist, a proud feminist, and a humanitarian, but that wont happen if I don't do well on my SAT and get into a good college.
