Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
My 19-year-old daughter has processing speed issues (along with ADHD). In many ways, my daughter and I are very much alike. But we are quite different when it comes to how fast we take in and handle information. She speaks slowly and chooses words carefully. I speak fast and have always had too much to say. I'm worried that kids with a slower speed of processing may be out of sync with the world’s demands. But I also believe that they have skills and a natural rhythm that I think society desperately needs. A slower, more thoughtful, less rushed approach to life is something that comes naturally to them. She is in twelfth grade and needs help in Statistics, something I do not excel at. We are really looking for help, as I cannot afford a tutor.
