Many families can't afford or lack access to private tutoring, which can be $100 per hour! With academic support, these students can expand their opportunities and dream bigger dreams. We don't think a family's income level should impact their child's access to learning.

We believe that consistent, positive relationships have the power to change lives! That’s why our tutors get to work 1-on-1 with the same student each week.
Our tutoring is 100% virtual, so geography, or lack of transportation is not a barrier providing more access to both our students and our tutors.<br><br>You set your own schedule. Tutor as many hours a week though we do ask you tutor a minimum of 1 hour per week.<br><br>You pick the subject and grade level you feel confident tutoring.
If you’re here because you need school credits, community service hours, or volunteer hours, we’ve got your back! But we can also help you develop leadership skills and the foundations of your career.

In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too. Learn To Be is an approved Certifying Organization.
Federal Work-Study provides part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student's course of study. Learn To Be is a Federal Work Study Employer at numerous colleges around the country.
Learn To Be provides data and validation of hours for volunteers across a wide array of programs. If you need to have your hours tracked and certified, we got your back!

Yes, anyone with the necessary knowledge, skills, and qualifications can become an online tutor. At Learn To Be, we require our tutors to send a video interview in addition to their application.
Additionally, an online tutor will need to know how to use online teaching tools. For example, at Learn To Be, we have a free Zoom classrooms and whiteboard for online tutoring sessions.
